An unexpected turn around occurred in the rivalry between South vs North with everyone thinking that Mackay SHS will come out on top. First set came easy for MSHS, having a comfortable lead all game. However, after some encouraging and refreshing words from their coach, Mackay North came up unexpectedly with a lead of 12-0 in the second because of Sophia Gallebo's clutch saves and Eve Chaiarwut's determination. Despite MSHS hard endeavours nearly catching up in the end, Mackay North SHS made it out on top
